The National Institute of Oceanography and Fisheries (NIOF) is a governmental scientific institution, functioning under the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of Egypt established in 1918. It takes an original approach to research, expertise, training and knowledge-sharing for the benefit of countries and regions, making science and innovation key drivers in their development.
NIOF is a multidisciplinary research institute with Four main branches and 9 scientific research stations; two research vessels for surveying, monitoring and observation of marine environment.
