Information
More than one-third of the global population lives in coastal regions, and oceans play a key role in the safety of lives and livelihoods. The oceans are under severe threat due to natural and anthropogenic pressures. We will seek a discussion on enhancing our understanding of the oceans, strengthening coastal resilience and developing policy frameworks for sustainable management of the oceans through ocean observations, data, modelling and prediction systems, underpinned by capacity development and research.
